Provita's Organic Acerola Vitamin C provides 500mg of acerola fruit powder per capsule and is standardized to 125mg of 100% natural Vitamin C. It is well known that vitamin C has antioxidant properties. One of the highest natural sources of vitamin C is acerola (Malpighia glabra L.). Compared to oranges or lemons, the ripe fruit has 50 - 100 times more vitamin C. In addition to being high in vitamin C, acerola is also rich in a variety of anthocyanins, which have the ability to effectively scavenge free radicals.
