Echinacea stimulates our immune system helping our body make the white blood cells we need to fight infection. It activates neutrophils to fight bacteria and natural-killer cells to fight viruses. Echinacea also activates macrophages, which are white blood cells that engulf pathogens to destroy them.

Echinacea has been shown to have antibacterial3 and antiviral4 activity, meaning it directly neutralizes some types of bacteria and viruses. Echinacea has been shown to inactivate influenza A and B4, rhinovirus (the common cold)5, and Group A Strep, which are some of the most common pathogens to cause cold and flu.

Direction:

• Children / Adolescents 5 - 9 Years: Take 1/8 of a measuring cap (2.5ml) daily or as directed by a health care practitioner. 
• Adolescents 10 - 14 Years: Take 1/4 of a measuring cap (5ml) daily or as directed by a health care practitioner.
• Adults / Adolescents 15+: 1/2 measuring capful (10m1) daily, or as directed by a health care practitioner. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
• Take at first sign of infection. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 8 weeks.
